Bike Trail Adventure

Canoe the Wisconsin

The DNR river access, a short distance from Sheer Memories offers access to a breathtaking experience on the Wisconsin River. Bring your canoes or your kayak and enjoy the Wisconsin River. There are several outfitters in the area if you need a canoe, kayak, transportation.

Blackhawk Lake Adventure

Effigy Mounds Adventure

The “Woodland” Native Americans built the effigy mounds in Wisconsin. As a result Wisconsin has the largest number of effigy mounds built of any state in the nation and has the largest number saved from destruction. Most of the mounds closest to Sheer Memories B & B (The Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Mounds) are accessible to the general public and are shown on this web site Wisconsin Mounds or you may call for info regarding self-guided tours at 800-221-3792. Big Springs Hiking Package

We’ll provide a map and directions to one of our favorite places. You’ll walk the well-groomed trail along a beautiful stream to a waterfall where you can picnic. We’ll provide a picnic lunch and beverages. Stop at Spurgeon’s Winery for wine tasting on the way, visit other points of interest we suggest. $25.00
